BlackRock Solutions offers prospective employees two distinct avenues for developing their careers based on their individual skills, interests and long-term career goals:
Business/Analytics Track: Best suited to those candidates interested in a general business career that might include finance, analytics, business development and client relations. Employees work directly with clients to help develop solutions to their business needs.
Technical Track: A robust technical path for prospective employees with interests in finance, technology and computer science. Employees focus on application development, designing and building technologies aimed at solving client problems.

Financial Modeling Group
Members of the Financial Modeling Group are responsible for the research and development of financial models underpinning the risk management analytics produced at BlackRock. The group also contributes to infrastructure and software development. Candidates in either the business/analytics or technical track may find opportunities here.
Investment Products Group
Here, highly skilled software developers build proprietary risk management and trading capabilities into BlackRock’s best-in-class enterprise platform, Aladdin. Developers combine both technical expertise and an understanding of the investment management business to create this leading-edge platform, used internally by BlackRock's internal asset management businessand by BlackRock Solutions customers, which are among the largest financial institutions in the world.
Portfolio Analytics Group
The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) is responsible for using BlackRock’s risk and analytics models to help clients understand their portfolios’ daily exposures, thereby informing and enhancing clients’ investment processes. PAG employees are sophisticated users of the models and tools, allowing them to solve financial and business problems for clients and helping clients and portfolio managers to achieve optimal risk-adjusted returns. Relationship Management
The Relationship Management group comprises four distinct teams, offering prospective employees dynamic career-pathing opportunities. The Business Development team is responsible for establishing new client relationships through a consultative sales approach. The Implementations team works closely with clients to manage the conversion process from legacy technology platforms to BRS products. The Client Service team provides ongoing support to all risk analytics and investment system clients. The Product Delivery team consists of specialists in their respective business areas who are responsible for educating and implementing new functionality as systems evolve.
