Aladdin Functionality

As a comprehensive platform, Aladdin provides a centralized database for maintaining financial information including positions, transactions, prices, security data and analytics. This approach is designed to eliminate redundant data input, enhance data integrity and significantly reduce operational risk while simultaneously increasing operating leverage and consistency.

Aladdin is delivered as a managed service. BlackRock Solutions is responsible for implementing the system and keeping it operating smoothly. As Aladdin evolves in response to developments in the capital markets and changes in business processes, clients are seamlessly provided with continual access to new system functionality.

Aladdin's risk reporting and analytic tools are also available on a stand-alone basis. Stand-alone components include our comprehensive suite of risk reports (Green Package^®), and our interactive bond calculator (AnSer^®).
