Some Stocks Struggling for Former Glory

12 in 30: Stocks in the Dow Jones industrial average that are still down from their peaks

The Dow Jones industrial average recently reached an all-time high, but not every blue-chip stock has been able to return to its former glory since the Dow's previous record in October 2007. In fact, 12 out of the 30 stocks are still down from their peaks.

The divergence in the Dow's winners and losers points to broader trends that have surfaced in the stock market. For instance, consumer-related stocks have performed comparatively well while telecom and financial stocks have fared more poorly. But these trends may not continue. What comes next?
