Over the long term, blue-chip, dividend-paying stocks have helped investors meet their financial goals by providing income, growth and a degree of stability. Blue-chip companies have reputations for quality, and have shown an ability to weather difficult market conditions better than less-established companies. The BlackRock Equity Dividend Fund focuses its investments here, seeking to provide long-term total return and current income through a portfolio of high-quality companies with the ability to grow their dividends.
