BlackRock Global Funds (BGF) Global Allocation Fund
A Foundation for Every Portfolio
An Investment to Supplement Current Income
The example below shows how an investment of US$1,000,000 can allow you to supplement your current income. On January 3, 1997, a hypothetical investment of US$1,000,000 was made in the BGF Global Allocation Fund (Class A). Beginning on December 31, 1997, withdrawals of US$50,000 were made at the end of each year. By December 31, 2012, the client would have withdrawn US$800,000, and still had an investment worth US$1,802,782 or 180% of the initial investment.
In the scenario illustrated here, while making annual withdrawals, the initial investment was still able to increase significantly over time. A seasoned portfolio management team working to grow the initial investment, coupled with dividend reinvestment and compounding, helped offset those yearly withdrawals.
Total Investment: US$1,000,000
Total Withdrawals: US$750,000
Ending Value: US$1,802,782
|A Lump-Sum Investment Over Time (US$)|
|Year||Initial Investment||Withdrawals at Year End||Investment Value*|
|Total value as of 12/31/12||US$800,000||US$1,082,782|

Past performance is not a guide to future performance and should not be the sole factor of consideration when selecting a product. The value of investments and the income from them can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed. You may not get back the amount originally invested. The fund invests a large portion of assets which are denominated in other currencies; hence changes in the relevant exchange rate will affect the value of the investment. The fund typically invests in smaller company shares which can be more unpredictable and less liquid than those of larger company shares. Levels and bases of taxation may change from time to time.
*Growth of US$1,000,000 with yearly US$50,000 withdrawals. Based on a hypothetical investment of US$1,000,000 in the BGF Global Allocation Fund (Class A) and assumes reinvestment of all distributions and dividends.
